in the FII plant.
Representatives
of the Air Force
Program Office
and Lockheed Martin
Procurement organization
participated in
the ceremony.
Lockheed
Martin performed
an extensive on-site
business system
review to assess
Fiber Innovations’ supplier
status. The Lockheed
Martin team concluded
that FII demonstrated
a dedication to
continuous improvement
and process improvements
and recommended
that the company
be awarded Silver
Level Preferred
Supplier status.
This allows FII
to perform its
own final inspection
of hardware and
facilitates ''dock-to-stock''
receipt at Lockheed
Martin's Orlando
factory, reducing
delays and costs
for both companies.
Lockheed Martin
will continue
to perform periodic
in-process assessments
to assure continuous
compliance and
hardware integrity.
